Brief Construction Details of Our Conservatories and Sun Lounges
Floors
  • 100mm Kingspan insulation is normally fitted to underside of concrete floors.
  • Timber joisted screwed or nailed including 200mm glass wool under floor insulation.
Dwarf Walls
  • 100mm Kingspan insulation is normally fitted to all internal surfaces of external walls.
  • Fyffestone or other exterior blocks with a 100mm concrete block interior including insulation and framework with plasterboard surface.
  • Granite exterior with 100 mm concrete block interior, no cavity required. This type of wall creates an overall width of approximately 500 mm including internal insulation and framework with plasterboard surface.
  • Brick exterior with 50mm cavity and brick or 100mm concrete block interior complete with 100mm insulation and framework with plasterboard surface.
Drains
  • All underground drains are solid plastic pipe and tied into existing drainage.
  • Manholes are rebuilt to the exterior of the new base works where possible.
  • Hermetic seal covers are used where manholes cannot be relocated.
  • Any existing sink drains etc. are connected up to the new drainage system.
  • Roof water is connected to the existing underground drainage system, where possible, or occasionally a new soak-away has to be positioned no closer than five meters from any building.
PVCu
  • All PVCu frames have internal galvanised steel reinforcement.
  • We provide Kommerling PVCu Profile.
  • White
  • Mahogany x both sides or white internal.
  • Cherry x both sides or white internal.
  • Internal glazing beads fitted for extra security.
  • Light Oak both sides or white internal.
Timber
  • A selection of hardwoods or redwoods all factory painted for long life with minimum maintenance (many colours to choose from).
Glazing
  • Toughened safety glass 4-20-4 units or as required.
  • Also a selection of tints and thermally insulated glass.
  • A large selection of coloured Georgian and leaded glass designs.
Window Ventilation
  • Top open casements.
  • Bottom open casements.
  • Tilt and turn (inward opening).
  • All with high security espangolate locking system.
Doors
  • French doors open in \ out (Multi-hook high security locking system).
  • Single entrance door (Multi-hook high security locking system).
  • Sliding Patio doors with high security locking system.
  • A selection of bi-fold doors. Aluminium, timber or PVCu.
  • All doors will be double glazed with thermally insulated safety glass.
  • A large selection of PVCu panels are available in place of glass for PVCu doors.
  • A large selection of composite coloured doors are also available.
  • All doors are fitted with high security locking system.
PVCu Conservatory Roof
  • Ultraframe , low weight, high strength aluminium with PVCu cladding to exterior and interior BBA certified.
  • High quality hardwood (factory painted).
  • 28mm safety glass, high insulation sealed units or 35mm polycarbonate roofing sheets, tinted, clear, opec, or heat reflective providing a maximum u.value of 1.3.
Internal Finishes
  • Plasterboard surface taped ready for decoration.
  • Pine Linings.
  • Brick or other blockwork finish.
  • Hardwood, oak veneers or MDF sills and skirting boards.
  • Paint and varnish decoration if required.
Floor Surface
  • Ceramic tiles (vast choice).
  • Laminate flooring boards.
  • Hardwoods, glued or nailed to floor if required.
Electrical
  • Electrical Compliance Certificate (SELECT) required with all electrical works
  • Double sockets.
  • 5 amp circuits suitable for table lamps.
  • TV points including wiring for wall mounted flat screen television.
  • Telephone points.
  • Wall lights and down lights.
  • Exterior soffit lights (down lights).
  • Security Lights.
  • Garden Lighting.
  • All lights supplied by customer.
  • Socket and light switches are white, other types supplied by customer if required.
  • Electric underfloor heating mats.
Plumbing
  • CORGI registered Plumbers.
  • Underfloor Heating System direct off existing boiler or separate electrical boiler system.
  • Radiators – vast choice.
  • Radiators relocated.
  • All internal water supply pipes etc fitted or relocated.
  • Overflow pipes relocated.
  • Boiler supplied and fitted or relocated (gas or oil).
Kitchens
  • All designs of kitchens supplied and fitted
